Beginners to Intermediate and Follow-On Advanced.

Detailed information on both courses can be viewed from the main menu ‘PICTURE BOOK MAKING CLASSES’
Whether you are a complete beginner, have some experience in visual arts or children’s literature, or have a picture book idea or work in progress that you need help with, The Illustori Academy has a course to suit your needs. If you prefer a one-to-one coaching approach, then you can book by the hour at a time to suit your schedule.
The courses have been designed and delivered by Adrienne Geoghegan, initially classroom-based, but now online since the Covid-19 pandemic. They are designed for aspiring, emerging, or lapsed illustrators and picture bookmakers. They are also suitable for those who work in the areas of graphic design, animation, or fine art who wish to expand their skill set. Illustrators looking to tailor their portfolio to target children’s book agents and publishers will also benefit.  Participants will have a greater understanding of the current marketplace for children’s picture books.  In addition, the ability to create layouts, character development, storyboards, and texts will enhance your current skillsets, as well as developing new portfolio pieces along with the first draft of a picture book. Taught by published artist, and writer Adrienne Geoghegan.
