Picture Book and Illustration Workshop with Adrienne Geoghegan
Are you an aspiring picture book maker or illustrator? Would you like to know more about this craft? During this workshop, experienced teacher and picture book maker, Adrienne Geoghegan will discuss the main components of children’s literature and illustration. You might have some great ideas, but how do you go about writing and illustrating a children’s picture book?
Part lecture, part workshop, this session will take you through the process and hopefully answer some of your questions about submitting a children’s picture book proposal to publishers or finding work as an illustrator. Feel free to bring along up to 3 pieces of artwork for feedback. Suitable for anyone interested, from beginners to more experienced artists.
Adrienne Geoghegan studied illustration in Kingston University in London. She continued her career for some years in London, illustrating freelance for The Guardian and the Economist, amongst others. Adrienne has also written and illustrated many children’s picture books.
